Frequently asked questions

Our specialists can share more photos, a video or details on service history.

Are your watches authentic?

Yes. Every watch is examined before it is offered, including serial and reference numbers, movement, dial, case, bracelet and clasp. If you have questions about a specific piece, we are happy to show it to you in person.

Can I see a watch in person before buying?

Of course. Visit our showroom in Downtown San Diego. We recommend booking an appointment so the piece is ready for you when you arrive.

Do you offer a warranty?

Watches sold by Watch AD & Co include our 12-month in-house warranty on the movement. See the warranty page for details.

Why do some pieces say “Price on request”?

Some rare or high-value pieces are priced individually. Contact us and a specialist will share the price and any additional photos.

Do you ship?

Yes. Purchases ship fully insured and require a signature on delivery. You are also welcome to pick up in person at the showroom.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Contact us for current payment options. Bank wire is typically the preferred method for high-value purchases.

Can you find a watch that is not in your inventory?

Yes. Tell us the brand, model and reference you are looking for and we will let you know when we can source it.

How do you determine my offer?

We look at the exact reference, year, condition, service history, whether you have the box and papers, and current market demand for that model.

Is the online offer final?

The first offer is preliminary and based on your photos and description. The final offer is confirmed after we inspect the watch in person.

Do I need the box and papers?

No. We buy watches with or without box and papers. Having them usually increases the value.

How do I get paid?

Once you accept the final offer we pay you the same day by bank wire or check, or as otherwise permitted by California law.

What do I need to bring?

Your watch, a valid government-issued photo ID, and the box, papers and any extra links if you have them. California law requires us to record seller identification.

Can I trade instead of selling?

Yes. Your watch can be credited toward any piece in our collection. See our trade-in page.
